Wireless charging system – ZENS

(February 8, 2019) -

The ZENS wireless charger is an integrated wireless charging system for cabinetry and furniture. It can turn almost any horizontal surface into a mobile device charging point with no visual impact to design aesthetics. By simply placing a mobile device on the surface, the charging begins automatically without needing any cables, adaptors or power sockets.

The ZENS wireless charging unit can be fitted or retro-fitted, to most horizontal decorative surfaces including medium density fibreboard, laminate benchtops, particleboard, compact laminate and plywood. It can also be used on plywood, acrylic solid surface, OSB (Oriented Strand Board), plasterboard, timber and most non-metallic materials.

ZENS, the manufacturer of the wireless charger, is a member of the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). The WPC is a group of leading manufacturers of mobile phones, consumer electronics, batteries, semiconductors and components that set the Qi protocols and ensures compatibility between devices. Now available with fast charge, the ZENS wireless charger is round-shaped with an 80 mm diameter.

ZENS Fast Charge is Here

(January 21, 2019) -

A new option for the ZENS Wireless Charger, the PuK3 fast charges compatible devices for roughly 15 minutes and then returns to typical charging speed.

The 5 watt ZENS Mobile Charger, the PuK2, has been charging devices across the country without the messy wires and issues of traditional chargers.

The 15 watt PuK3 is now available to fast charge eligible devices in a major upgrade from standard charging devices. Perfect for restaurants, retail shops, airports and quick exchange spaces, the PuK3 fast charges compatible devices for roughly 15 minutes and then returns to typical charging speed.

Even the latest phones can only handle fast charging for a certain amount of time, but the technology of the ZENS PuK3 is more advanced and therefore will not overheat or overcharge the phones. Once phone technology increases, the already installed ZENS PuK3 will be able to service the fast charge for as long as the phone can accept.

Automatic, quick, convenient and with the exact same specs as the original PuK2, this iteration of the ZENS Charger has only improved on the already revolutionary technology.

With a three year warranty, easy installation, and market-competitive pricing, the ZENS Wireless Chargers are in a league of their own.

ZENS Announces Trio of New Qi-Certified Wireless Chargers

(September 10, 2018) -

At IFA Berlin, ZENS today announced a new range of wireless chargers, each including an ultra-thin aluminum design. All of the new wireless chargers will be available beginning September 15.

First is the Single Aluminum Wireless Charger, which is a simple single-device Qi-enabled wireless charging pad, much like those launched from companies including Belkin, Mophie, Anker, RAVPower, and more. ZENS’ solution supports fast charging and has a maximum output of 10 watts, and will cost $49.99 at launch.

The next accessory is the Dual Aluminum Wireless Charger, which can charge two Qi-compatible smartphones at the same time, with a total output of 20 watts. This charger is priced at $79.99.

Lastly, the Dual+Watch Aluminum Wireless Charger also charges two smartphones simultaneously, but includes an additional perch for the Apple Watch. Similar to the Dual Aluminum Wireless Charger, the Dual+Watch accessory supports fast charging and has a total output of 20 watts. This one is also MFI-certified and is priced at $99.99.

Unlike the AirPower, for the ZENS Dual and Dual+Watch Wireless Chargers you will need to place devices in a certain position on the mat to charge. With Apple’s upcoming wireless charger, there isn’t a required “sweet spot” for iPhones or the Apple Watch, as they can be placed anywhere on the mat to be charged.

ZENS brengt superdunne nieuwe aluminium opladers uit

(September 10, 2018) -

ZENS aluminum wireless charger offers a potential cheaper alternative to AirPower

(September 10, 2018) -

The latest report suggests that Apple may finally be launching its long-delayed AirPower wireless charger next month. What isn’t yet known is the cost, rumors so far pointing to somewhere in the $160-190 range. If that turns out to be rather more than you might want to pay, Zens has a new product that may make a suitable alternative …

The ZENS Dual+Watch Aluminium Wireless Charger offers the capacity to simultaneously fast-charge two iPhones and an Apple Watch. Given that the upcoming wireless AirPods case is likely to have a smaller power draw than an iPhone, the charger should work equally well charging an iPhone, Watch and AirPods case.

The Dual+Watch Aluminium Wireless Charger has an ultra-thin design that is made out of one piece high-grade aluminium. The charger supports Apple Fast Charge and has a total maximum output of 20W to support triple device charging.

What it doesn’t offer is the same clever tech AirPower promises: the ability to place any device on any part of the charging pad. Making this work reliably is likely to have been the cause of the lengthy delay in releasing the product. As Zac recently noted, no-one else has yet managed this trick either.

But if you can live with having to place your devices in fairly specific positions, the $99 price-tag may win you over. It will also be available in Europe for €99.

ZENS says that the Dual+Watch charger will be available on September 15, likely around the same time that AirPower goes on sale. Existing single-device wireless chargers start at $10-15, however, and combined iPhone/Watch chargers at around $25, so the question will be what kind of premium you’re willing to pay for the neatness of an all-in-one solution.
